Debit

Debit is the project of Delia Beatriz, a Mexican producer, composer, instrumentalist and DJ based in New York. Moving between Latin club music, conceptual composition and archival practice, her work uses synthesis, sequencing and machine learning to connect technical systems with folk memory. Her acclaimed 2025 album ‘Desaceleradas’ re-engages Monterrey’s cumbia rebajada through the cassette legacy of Sonido Dueñez, while her latest album, ‘Potpourri’ (2026, NAAFI), brings techno and acid into dialogue with guaracha and other Latin American club rhythms. We spoke with her ahead of her appearance at MUTEK Montréal 2026.
